The architecture of 3D Jananese temples, like that of any structure, has changed and developed over the 3D centuries. However, while the particular details may vary, the general 3D Jananese temple’s themes and styles have strong similarities and common origins. There is great diversity in the style and appearance of 3D roofs, but most follow the basic concept of a tiled sloping 3D roof. Besides, the 3D roofs of many older 3D Jananese temples, designed more directly on mainland forms, have upturned flaring corners.
